Center for Collective Intelligence

The MIT Center for Collective Intelligence (CCI) brings together faculty from across MIT to conduct research on how new information technologies—especially the internet and AI—now allow huge numbers of people all over the world to work together in new ways. The center's basic research question is: How can people and computers be connected so that—collectively—they act more intelligently than any individuals, groups, or computers have ever done before?

This first-of-its-kind research effort draws on the strengths of many diverse groups across MIT.

CCI frequently employs graduate students and undergraduates to assist with its research projects.
